Don't be fooled by the name. St Ives is a quaint town that was once a hubbub of fishing and artists. Look a little further and you will find one of the most rugged and unforgiving sections of coastline. This spectacular tour starts at the dramatic Cape Cornwall with unrivalled views over the rugged North Atlantic coastline. We run through rich mining history in the heart of Poldark country taking in the once busy mines at Botallack, Geevor and Levant. The coastline of Cornwall can be harsh and unforgiving but it is without doubt stunning. This tough but rewarding trail will help you discover the lives of the 18th century miners who tirelessly worked this land centuries ago.
The tour is a challenging but rewarding 16 miles. and will last for approximately six hours.
You will be picked up from Hayle Swimming Pool, King George Memorial Walk TR27 4BL at 8am.
The tour has a hill rating of 5+ meaning this is a tour for mountain goats and those not faint of heart!
This is a full day running tour. We provide free transfers to and from the pick up point. A healthy lunch and refreshments are included with all dietary needs catered for.
